5.  Judith Carducci “All About Pastel”
Still-Life Workshop  June 23-24
Pastel is such a rich subject that there’s no way to go over it “all” in a couple of days.  But we can address how it is a unique artistic tool, both a drawing and painting medium;  the variety of strokes;  traveling with pastels and caring for them;  framing options, advantages and disadvantages of pastel;  the different types of pastel and surfaces; a variety of techniques for different “themes” and styles.  And, why do we love pastel?

Remember — if you want an announcement to go out, send it to me at the email address below.  When you send me something, make sure you send it in a form that is as ready to post as possible — for instance, written in the third person and spell-checked.  I also have to void any formatting, so there is no use making it fancy; it has to be just plain text.  Also, please double check your web addresses to make sure they work, or I can’t include your links.  I’m trying to send Announcements just once a week, so think ahead and get them to me in a timely fashion.  Thanks!

Cheers!
