The Brighton Quick Draw

Ready…..Set….. Art!!!

The Brighton Art Guild will sponsor “The Brighton Quick Draw,”  a fun, informal art competition in downtown Brighton on June 25, July 23, and August 27. All levels, all sizes, all medium. Artists will have up to two hours to complete a view of downtown Brighton from 5 to 7 PM. Exteriors and interiors acceptable. The Quick Draws will be concurrent with the Guild’s “Art at the Mill Pond,”  Thursday evening gatherings in which artists may show their art, visit with other artists and promote art in the community on Main Street at the Mill Pond.

How do you participate?

4:30 to 5:30 PM                 Sign up and throw $5 (CASH ONLY) into the pot (Main St.@ Mill Pond)

Ages 12 and up.

5 PM start whistle            Artists start working. (You may start later if you wish.)

7 PM stop whistle            Artists stop and bring their work to the Main St Mill Pond area and set up on their easel for judging. No frames necessary.

7:15 PM                                All works will be juried by a local art business. Winner takes the pot! It’s that simple.

Rule: All work must be completed on site!

Sales: Works may be sold after judging. Artists are responsible for sales; Guild will not take commissions.
